Returns & Refund Policy

14-Day Online Returns

If you purchase goods from BM Automotive online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

You must notify us within this 14-day period that you wish to cancel your order. Once you have notified us, you must return the goods within a further 14 days.

Conditions for Return

You may inspect an item only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and function, similar to how you would inspect an item before purchasing it in a physical shop.

If an item has been fitted, installed, used, damaged or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary, you may be liable for any reduction in the value of the goods.

Where possible, all original parts, accessories, documentation and packaging should be included with the return.

Non-Returnable Items

The statutory right to cancel does not apply to certain goods, including:

• Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.
• Sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed.
• Any other goods which are exempt from the right to cancel under Irish consumer law.

These exclusions do not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

Return Process

1. Contact BM Automotive within 14 days of receiving your goods and clearly state that you wish to cancel your order.
2. Provide your name, order number and details of the item being returned.
3. We will provide you with the relevant return instructions and return address.
4. You must send the goods back within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation.

We recommend using a tracked delivery service and retaining proof of postage.

Return Shipping Costs

For change-of-mind cancellations, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

This applies where you were informed of your responsibility for return costs before completing your purchase.

If the goods are faulty, incorrect or otherwise do not conform to the contract, BM Automotive will cover return costs where required by law.

Refunds

If you validly cancel your online order, we will refund:

• The price paid for the returned goods.
• The cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered when you placed your order.

If you selected a more expensive delivery service, such as express or upgraded delivery, the additional delivery cost will not be refunded.

Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase unless otherwise agreed.

We may withhold your refund until we have received the returned goods or you provide evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

If goods are faulty, not as described, not fit for purpose or otherwise do not conform to the sales contract, your rights are protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2022.

Where the legal requirements are met, you may have a 30-day short-term right to terminate the contract and receive a refund.

After this period, you may still be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund in accordance with your statutory rights.

Please contact us if you believe there is a problem with an item you have received.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

If you wish to purchase a different product, size or variation, you may return the original item where your statutory cancellation rights apply and place a separate order.

To cancel an online order, please contact us with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.

Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Returns & Refund Policy limits or excludes any rights available to you under Irish consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
